# Uninstalling and your data

> What happens to your flipbooks, plan and files when you uninstall Neo Product Catalog Flipbook, and how to get them back.

You can uninstall Neo Product Catalog Flipbook at any time from **Settings → Apps** in your Shopify admin. Here’s what happens to your flipbooks, your plan and your files.

## Right away

- **Your flipbooks stop showing.** Theme blocks show nothing, public links stop working, and flipbooks embedded on other websites stop showing.
- **Your plan ends for good,** even partway through a paid billing period. It doesn’t come back if you reinstall.

## If you reinstall within 48 hours

Your flipbooks come back with their settings and links. Then do two things:

1. **Choose a plan again.** Until you do, you can’t create flipbooks, and shoppers see only the first 25 pages of each PDF or image flipbook. See [Choose a plan](https://docs.neoflipbook.com/getting-started/choose-a-plan/).
2. **Re-pick the flipbook in every theme block.** In the theme editor, click each **Neo Flipbook** block, pick the flipbook again in the **Flipbook** setting, and click **Save**. Blocks lose their selection when you uninstall. See [Add a flipbook to your theme](https://docs.neoflipbook.com/storefront/add-to-theme/).

## After 48 hours

About 48 hours after you uninstall, Shopify asks the app to delete your store’s data. Your flipbooks and the files you saved to Managed storage are then deleted for good, and can’t be recovered. If you reinstall after that, you start fresh.

> **Keep copies of Managed storage files**

> Files in Managed storage are deleted with your flipbooks. To keep one, go to the **Assets** page before you uninstall, copy the file’s link, and save the file from your browser. See [Manage files on the Assets page](https://docs.neoflipbook.com/files/assets-page/).

## Files in your Shopify Files

Files you uploaded to Shopify Files stay in your store under **Content → Files**. The app never deletes them, even after your data is removed.

## Shopper data

Neo Product Catalog Flipbook doesn’t collect or store personal data about your shoppers, so there’s no shopper data to delete.
