# Create from a PDF

> Turn a PDF you already have, such as a brochure or catalog, into a page-turning flipbook.

A PDF flipbook turns one PDF, such as a brochure, catalog, manual or magazine, into a flipbook. Each flipbook uses one PDF.

## Create the flipbook

1. In Neo Product Catalog Flipbook, go to **Flipbooks** and click the **Create flipbook** button.
2. Under **Source**, on the **PDF flipbook** card, click **Choose PDF**.
3. On **Select a PDF**, upload a PDF, paste a link to one, or click one in **Your files**.
4. Click **Use this PDF**.
5. Set the title and settings, and check the preview.
6. Click **Create flipbook** in the save bar at the top of the page.

## Add your PDF

**Select a PDF** gives you three ways to choose the file:

- **Upload PDF:** choose a PDF on your computer, pick where to save it under **Save to**, then click **Upload**. Shopify Files takes files up to 20 MB and Managed storage up to 100 MB. See [Upload a file](https://docs.neoflipbook.com/files/upload-a-file/).
- **Paste a link:** paste a direct https link to a PDF in **PDF link**, then click **Add PDF**. See [Use a link to a file](https://docs.neoflipbook.com/files/paste-a-link/).
- **Your files:** click a PDF you already have. The list shows PDFs from your store’s Files and from Managed storage, newest first. Click **Load more** to see older ones.

A PDF you upload or link is added to **Your files** and selected for you. Managed storage files show a **Managed storage** badge, and pasted links show a **Link** badge.

## Title and settings

After you click **Use this PDF**, the page shows the settings tabs next to a live preview. The title starts as the PDF’s file name without “.pdf”, so “spring-catalog.pdf” becomes “spring-catalog”. > **Tip**
>
> The flipbook’s link includes the title it has when you create it, and it doesn’t change if you rename the flipbook later. Set the title you want before you click **Create flipbook**.

To start again with a different PDF, click **Discard** in the save bar.

## On the Free plan

On the Free plan, shoppers see the first 25 pages of a PDF flipbook. If your PDF is longer, a banner appears once the preview loads: “Your Free plan shows the first 25 pages.” When you click **Create flipbook**, a dialog offers **Upgrade now** or **Create anyway**. Both create the flipbook, and **Upgrade now** then opens Shopify’s plan page. The preview in the app always shows every page. ## After you create it

The app takes you to the **Flipbooks** page and shows “Flipbook created.” The flipbook is visible to shoppers straight away. Next, [add it to your theme](https://docs.neoflipbook.com/storefront/add-to-theme/) or [share its public link](https://docs.neoflipbook.com/storefront/public-link/).
