Every flipbook has settings that control how the viewer looks and works for shoppers. You change them on the flipbook’s edit page in Neo Product Catalog Flipbook, and the live preview shows each change straight away.

## Open a flipbook’s settings

1. In Neo Product Catalog Flipbook, go to **Flipbooks**.
2. Click the flipbook’s title.
3. Click a tab above the settings to switch between groups of settings.

The settings sit on the left of the page and the preview on the right. The same tabs also appear in the last step of the create wizard, so you can set things up before you create a flipbook.

## Tabs for each flipbook type

| Flipbook type | Tabs |
| --------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| PDF | **Flipbook**, **General**, **Appearance**, **Behaviour** |
| Images | **Flipbook**, **General**, **Appearance**, **Behaviour**, **Pages** |
| Product catalog | **Catalog**, **General**, **Appearance**, **Behaviour** |

What each tab holds:

- **Flipbook**: the viewer’s colors. See [Viewer colors](https://docs.neoflipbook.com/customize/viewer-colors/).
- **Catalog**: the products, cover, page design and layout of a product catalog. See [Product catalogs](https://docs.neoflipbook.com/product-catalogs/).
- **General**: the title, flip style, cover pages and start page. See [Title, flip style and start page](https://docs.neoflipbook.com/customize/general-settings/).
- **Appearance**: the toolbar and the previous and next buttons. See [Toolbar and navigation buttons](https://docs.neoflipbook.com/customize/toolbar/).
- **Behaviour**: how pages turn, and which viewer tools shoppers can use. See [Page turning and viewer tools](https://docs.neoflipbook.com/customize/page-turn-and-tools/).
- **Pages**: the page order of an image flipbook. See [Reorder or remove pages](https://docs.neoflipbook.com/customize/reorder-pages/).

The edit page also has a **Publish** section with **Visible to customers**, the public link and the embed code. See [Hide or show a flipbook](https://docs.neoflipbook.com/storefront/hide-a-flipbook/).

## Save or discard your changes

Changes show in the preview right away, but shoppers don’t see them until you save. As soon as something differs from the saved version, Shopify’s save bar appears at the top of the page.

- Click **Save** to publish your changes. You see the message “Flipbook saved.” The flipbook’s link stays the same, so everyone who already has it sees the new version.
- Click **Discard** to go back to the last saved version.

On a product catalog, both buttons are unavailable for a moment while products load or a cover image uploads. Wait for it to finish, then save.

> **Unsaved changes**
>
> If you try to leave the page before saving, Shopify asks you to confirm. If you leave anyway, your unsaved changes are lost.
