# Preview on desktop and mobile

> Check how your flipbook looks on a computer and on a phone before shoppers see it.

In Neo Product Catalog Flipbook, the **Preview** on a flipbook’s edit page shows your flipbook in the same viewer shoppers use. It updates as soon as you change a setting, so you can try an option and see the result before you save.

The preview includes your unsaved changes. Shoppers see them only after you click **Save**.

## Switch between desktop and mobile

Above the preview, click **Desktop** or **Mobile**.

- **Desktop** shows the flipbook in a wide frame, as on a computer screen.
- **Mobile** shows it in a phone-sized frame. The viewer switches to its phone layout, as it does on a real phone: it shows one page at a time and groups some toolbar buttons into a menu to save space.

Use **Mobile** to check that your pages are easy to read on a small screen and that the buttons you need are still easy to reach.

## The preview shows every page

The preview always shows every page of your flipbook, whatever your plan. On the Free plan, shoppers see only the first 25 pages of a PDF or image flipbook. If your flipbook is longer, a banner on the edit page tells you how many pages shoppers won’t see. See [The 25-page limit](https://docs.neoflipbook.com/billing/page-limit/).

Product catalogs are never limited to 25 pages.

## Messages you might see

| Message                                                | What it means                                                                                                                                               |
| ------------------------------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| “Building your preview”                                | The preview is loading. Wait a moment.                                                                                                                      |
| “Choose a source to see a preview.”                    | There is nothing to show yet, because no PDF, images or products have been chosen.                                                                          |
| “No preview to show while these settings are invalid.” | A setting has a value the viewer can’t use. Check the last thing you changed.                                                                               |
| “Preview unavailable”                                  | The preview couldn’t be built or updated. The banner gives the reason, for example “These settings could not be previewed.” or “Could not build a preview.” |

When you change the products in a catalog, the preview keeps showing the previous products until the new ones have loaded.

## If the preview won’t load

- Undo your last change, or click **Discard** to go back to the saved version.
- Reload the page.
- For a PDF or image flipbook, check that the file still exists. A file deleted from Shopify Files can’t be shown.
