# Create your first flipbook

> Turn a PDF into a flipbook, add it to your store, and share its public link.

Have a PDF ready? This walkthrough takes you from that file to a flipbook on your store. You can follow the links in each section if you need more detail.

## Before you start

[Install Neo Product Catalog Flipbook](https://docs.neoflipbook.com/getting-started/install/) and [choose a plan](https://docs.neoflipbook.com/getting-started/choose-a-plan/) first. Free is fine for trying it out.

## Create the flipbook

1. In the app, open **Flipbooks** and click **Create flipbook**.
2. On the **PDF flipbook** card, click **Choose PDF**.
3. Click **Upload PDF** and choose your file. Leave **Shopify Files** selected, then click **Upload**. Files over 20 MB go to Managed storage automatically.
4. Once the upload finishes, click **Use this PDF**.
5. Check the preview and title. The title starts with your PDF’s file name; change it on the **General** tab if you like.
6. Click **Create flipbook** in the save bar at the top of the page.

The app returns to **Flipbooks** and confirms that your flipbook was created. It’s now visible to shoppers. For other ways to choose a PDF and more settings, see [Create from a PDF](https://docs.neoflipbook.com/create-flipbooks/from-a-pdf/).

## Add it to your theme

1. In the app, go to **Home**.
2. In the setup guide, open **Add flipbooks to your storefront** and click **Add flipbook block**. Shopify opens the theme editor on your product page template and adds the **Neo Flipbook** block.
3. In the block’s **Flipbook** setting, choose the one you just made. If it isn’t listed yet, wait a moment and reload the editor.
4. Click **Save**.
5. Go back to the app’s **Home** page and click **I’ve done it** on the same setup step.

Your flipbook now appears on product pages that use that template. To place it on another page or open it in a lightbox, see [Add a flipbook to your theme](https://docs.neoflipbook.com/storefront/add-to-theme/).

> **Tip**
>
> The app can’t check your theme itself. Clicking **I’ve done it** marks the setup task complete and changes the **Storefront block** badge on **Home** to **Active**.

## Copy the public link

1. Go to **Flipbooks** and click your flipbook’s title.
2. In the **Publish** section, click the copy button next to **Public link**.
3. Share the link in an email, a social post, or your store’s menu.
