A product catalog opens with a cover page, which you design in the Cover design section of the Catalog tab. In Neo Product Catalog Flipbook, go to Flipbooks, click the catalog’s title, then click Cover design on the Catalog tab. Make your changes and click Save.

Show cover page is on by default. Turn it off to start the catalog at the first product page. The cover style and cover image options are hidden while the cover is off.

This is separate from First and last page stand alone, like a book cover on the General tab, which only changes how the viewer pairs pages. See Title, flip style and start page.

Pick one of seven styles. Each card previews the style with your catalog’s own colors, fonts and photo.

Style What it looks like
Classic Text only, with no photo: your heading, subheading and shop name, with an accent line.
Gradient bottom (default) A full-page photo that darkens toward the bottom, with the text at the bottom left.
Gradient top A full-page photo that darkens toward the top, with the text at the top left.
Gradient left A full-page photo that darkens toward the left edge, with the text at the top left.
Gradient diagonal A full-page photo that darkens toward the top left corner, with the text at the top left.
Bottom strip A photo across most of the page, with a solid strip at the bottom in your text color that holds the text.
Strip, light Like Bottom strip, but the strip uses your background color.
Field Default Limit
Heading “Product catalog” 60 characters
Subheading Empty 60 characters

On the photo styles, the heading is the large title and the subheading is a small label in capitals. An empty subheading isn’t shown.

Both fields are “Also used as the page header labels”, as their help text says: the same words appear in the header at the top of every product page. The fields show while either the cover or the page header is on. To turn the header off, see Layout and product cards.

The photo styles use your first product’s image by default, and the field says “Uses your first product image”.

  • Click Upload cover image to use an image from your computer instead. It’s saved to your store’s Shopify Files.
  • Click Remove to go back to your first product’s image.

If the upload fails, you see “Could not upload the cover image. Try again.” Save is unavailable until the upload finishes. If none of your products have an image and you haven’t uploaded one, the photo area is filled with a tint of your accent color.
