This page lists the messages you might see in Neo Product Catalog Flipbook and in the theme editor, grouped by area. Messages are quoted exactly. Where a message includes a number or a name, the table shows an example.

Message What it means What to do
“This flipbook could not be saved” Something in the form needs fixing. The items are listed under this heading. Fix each item, then save again.
“The title field is required.” The Title field is empty. Enter a title, up to 200 characters, on the General tab.
“Action failed” Something didn’t work. The reason is shown under this heading. Follow the reason shown, then try again.
“Still connecting this store to the flipbook server. Try again in a moment.” You’ve just installed the app and it’s still finishing setup for your store. Wait a minute, then try again.
“A service this app depends on could not be reached. Nothing was changed. Try again shortly.” The app couldn’t reach a service it needs. Nothing was saved. Wait a few minutes and try again.
“Could not reach the server. Check your connection.” Your browser lost its connection to the app. Check your internet connection and try again.
“Request failed.” The app couldn’t finish what you asked. Try again. If it keeps happening, contact support.
“Couldn’t copy” Your browser blocked a copy button, such as the one for the Public link or Embed code. Select the text in the field and copy it yourself.
Message What it means What to do
“This file is larger than Shopify’s 20 MB limit, so it will be saved to Managed storage.” Shopify Files takes files up to 20 MB, so the file goes to Managed storage instead. Nothing. Click Upload.
“Files over 100 MB can’t be uploaded.” The file is over the 100 MB limit. Make the file smaller, or host it yourself and use a link to it.
“Only PDF, JPEG and PNG files can be uploaded.” The file isn’t a PDF, JPG or PNG. Save the file in one of those formats, then upload it again.
“Shopify is still processing this file. Try again shortly.” Shopify needs longer than usual to get the file ready. It’s still being added to your Shopify Files. Wait a minute, reload the page, then pick the file from Your files.
“Shopify rejected the upload.” Shopify refused the file. Try again. Check that the file opens on your computer.
“The upload was rejected. Try again.” Managed storage refused the file. Try again. Check that the file opens on your computer.
“Upload did not complete.” The file didn’t finish arriving in Managed storage. Upload it again.
“Upload failed.” The upload stopped, usually because the connection dropped. Check your internet connection and try again.
“Could not load files.” Your list of files couldn’t load. It appears under the heading “Could not load files”. Reload the page.
“Paste a link to a PDF.” The PDF link field is empty. Paste a link, then click Add PDF.
“Paste at least one image link.” The Image links field is empty. Paste one link per line, then click Add images.
“Enter a link starting with https://.” The link doesn’t start with https://. Copy the full address, including https://.
“This link answered with 404. Check the address.” The website didn’t return the file. The number can differ. Open the link in your browser to check the address.
“This link doesn’t lead to a PDF file. Use a direct link to the file, not a page that shows it.” The link opens a web page, not the PDF. Use a link that opens or downloads the file itself.
“This link doesn’t lead to an image file. Use a direct link to the file, not a page that shows it.” The link opens a web page, not the image. Use a link that opens the image file itself.
“This link can’t be loaded in a browser. Check the address, or upload the file instead.” The address is wrong, or the website hosting the file doesn’t allow other sites to load it. Check the address. If it’s right, upload the file instead.
Message What it means What to do
“This catalog could not be built” Build catalog didn’t work. The reason is shown under this heading. Follow the reason shown.
“That selection has no active products in it. Pick something else, or publish the products you meant.” Everything you picked is draft, archived or unlisted, or the collections have no active products. Set the products to Active in Shopify, or pick others.
“Could not read your products. Try again in a moment.” The app couldn’t read your products from Shopify. Wait a moment, then click Build catalog again.
“Could not open the Shopify picker. Try again.” Shopify’s product or collection picker didn’t open. Click the button again. If it keeps happening, reload the page.
“The products could not be updated” A change to the catalog’s products didn’t go through. The reason is shown under this heading. Your catalog stays as it was. Follow the reason shown.
“Could not read your products, so the catalog was left as it was.” The app couldn’t read your products, often after many changes in a row. Wait a minute, then make the change again.
“That selection has no active products in it, so the catalog was left as it was.” Your new selection has no active products. Pick active products, or set the products to Active in Shopify.
“Could not open the Shopify picker, so the catalog was left as it was.” Shopify’s picker didn’t open. Click the button again, or reload the page.
“A catalog holds up to 250 products, so only the first 250 are included.” Your selection has more than 250 products. Split your products across two catalogs.
“3 picked items were skipped because they are not active or no longer exist.” Some products are draft, archived, unlisted or deleted. Set them to Active in Shopify, then click Refresh product data and Save.
“3 products have no online store page, so their cards are not clickable.” Those products aren’t available on your online store. Make them available on the Online Store sales channel, then refresh the product data and save.
“Could not upload the cover image. Try again.” The cover image didn’t upload to your Shopify Files. Try again, or try a different image.
“The Line sheet template cannot lay out that many products per page.” The Products per page value doesn’t fit the Line sheet template. Choose 4, 6 or 9.
“The Lookbook template cannot lay out that many products per page.” The Products per page value doesn’t fit the Lookbook template. Choose 1 or 2.
Message What it means What to do
“Preview unavailable” The preview couldn’t be shown. The reason is shown under this heading. You can keep editing. Change back the setting you changed last.
“These settings could not be previewed.” The viewer can’t show this mix of settings. Change back the setting you changed last.
“No preview to show while these settings are invalid.” A setting has a value the viewer can’t use. Correct the setting.
“Could not build a preview.” The preview couldn’t be created. Reload the page.
“Could not update the preview.” Your latest change didn’t reach the preview. Make the change again. If it keeps happening, save your work and reload the page.
“This preview has expired.” The page was open for a long time. Nothing. The app builds a new preview by itself.
Message What it means What to do
“Choose a plan to create flipbooks.” Your store has no plan. You need one, even Free, to create flipbooks. Click View plans and choose a plan. See Choose a plan.
“You’ve used 2 of 2 flipbooks on the Free plan.” You’re at your plan’s flipbook limit. Hidden flipbooks count. Delete a flipbook you don’t need, or click Upgrade. See Flipbook limits.
“That would be one flipbook more than your plan allows, so nothing was created.” Another flipbook was created at the same moment and used your last slot. Check your Flipbooks list, then delete a flipbook or upgrade.
“Your Free plan shows the first 25 pages.” Shoppers will see only the first 25 pages of this flipbook. Your full file stays saved. Upgrade to show every page. See The 25-page limit.
“Without a plan, customers see the first 25 pages.” Your store has no plan, so the Free plan’s limit applies. Choose a plan. Basic and Pro show every page.
“Your Free plan shows 25 pages” This asks before you create a long flipbook. Click Upgrade now or Create anyway. Either one creates the flipbook.
“We’re confirming your plan with Shopify” Shopify hasn’t confirmed your new plan yet. Reload the page in a moment.

These notices appear only in the theme editor. Shoppers never see them.

Message What it means What to do
“No flipbook selected.” The Neo Flipbook block has no flipbook picked. Choose one in the block’s Flipbook setting, then save the theme.
“You haven’t created any flipbooks yet.” Your store has no visible flipbooks. This also shows when every flipbook is hidden. Create a flipbook or make one visible, then reload the theme editor.
“Lightbox is not included in your plan.” Your store has no plan, so the block shows the flipbook on the page instead of in a lightbox. Choose a plan, then reload the theme editor.
Message What it means What to do
“This file is used by Spring Catalog and Lookbook. Remove it from those flipbooks first.” You tried to delete a file on the Assets page that flipbooks still use. Hidden flipbooks count. Remove the image from each flipbook’s Pages tab and save, or delete the PDF flipbook. See Manage files on the Assets page.
